Capacity and Demand for Inpatient Mental Health Services
This dedicated NHS workshop will provide you with demand and capacity modelling skills that you can transfer into your own inpatient mental health service. Come together with your colleagues from across the country and gain practical insight to analyse capacity and demand and sustain your service. Leave the day ready to put an action plan into place to effectively manage patients on their pathway.
This one-day course will give you the time to take a wide-reaching, in-depth look at the way your service provides care, the paths patients take and whether your processes work as well as they could. You will have the opportunity to explore unique tools, hear worked examples and gain evidenced understanding which you can then apply to your inpatient mental health service.
Leave this interactive workshop able to implement the tools to drive your NHS mental health inpatient services forward. Get to grips with new knowledge and skills and learn how to:
- Create an action plan
- Delve into the principles of demand and capacity
- Cope with variation in the inpatient department
- Use the modelling theory to drive forward care
- Implement lessons learnt from evidenced outcomes
- Improve appointment times
- Reduce your waiting list
- Utilise new tools to improve your demand and capacity
Through interactive exercises and extensive group work, you will have the opportunity to come together with other mental health services, learn how to embed the theory into practice and return to your trust fired up to make the necessary changes to deliver efficiency. Designed for Mental Health Service Managers, this day would have particular value for whole-team attendance and would be useful for:
- Heads of Service and Nursing, Clinical Leads & Consultants
- Clinical Nurse Managers, Lead Nurses
- General, Project, Transformation, Business & Operations Managers
- Administration, Service Improvement and Patient Service Managers
